Is Equinate 'swab free' (clean sport compliant)?
At the time of writing Equinate contains no prohibited substances, however we recommend you check our ingredients list against the prohibited substances database for your discipline.
How do I administer equinate?
Equinate is designed to be fed alone, or added to hard feed. Most horses find it palatable and will lick it out of a bucket, meaning there's no need to hard feed when the horse doesn't require extra calories.
How much equinate does my horse or pony need?
Feed 25g per 100kg of body weight. For desired effect ensure the full recommended rate is fed. When in heavy work, or stressful conditions, add up to 50g to the recommended rate. The included scoop included holds 50g.
why is the dose rate of equinate higher than other products?
Many products do not contain meaningful amounts of active ingredients. Our dose rate is high to ensure the product is effective. Being an all-in-one product also makes the quantity appear larger. Despite the higher dose rate, the daily cost of Equinate is significantly lower than the accumulated products you would need to equal it.
Can I buy equinate in stores?
We are currently in discussion with suppliers. Please check back soon to find where it is available from in your area. If you are a retailer interested in stocking Equinate products please contact us. For your convenience we are currently offering free shipping.
Would 'relief' or 'complete' be more suitable for my horse?
Equinate Relief is designed as an addition to pre-mixed hard feed. To avoid doubling up on what is in your pre-mix it does not contain vitamins and minerals. However, it can still be fed alone if desired.
Equinate Complete includes all the ingredients of Relief, as well as a daily supply of vitamins and minerals. This makes it the ideal addition to plain, whole feeds (such as chaff, barley or oats) or to feed alone for horses not requiring the extra calories of hard feed. Equinate Complete ensures all your horse's nutrition requirements are fulfilled.
